My wife and I attended an adoption conference several years ago at Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. It was there that we heard David Platt speak for the first time.
I remember him discussing adoption, orphan care, and his own experience with both. James’ equation for pure religion in James 1:27 places orphan care as an essential element. It makes me smile to see teachers leading by example.
