I recently listened to the best orphan care sermon I have ever heard. In 2010, Ashland Avenue Baptist Church hosted a conference entitled “The World Mission and the Orphan.” The conference featured three sermons from Russell Moore and one from David Prince.
The final sermon, When the Good News is Too Good: Self-Protection and the Cry of the Orphan, is one of the best sermons on the Gospel’s implications to orphan care that I have ever heard. I encourage you to invest 45 minutes in building up your faith through this message delivered by David Prince.
If you’re wondering how this talk of orphan care fits into adoption, then I encourage you to read our blog, Getting to Christian Adoption, or David Prince’s article, The Manliness of Adoption: Testosterone and Pure Religion.
