Georgia Baptist Children’s Home: Caring for the Fatherless
There are several fantastic facilities, programs and organizations around the state of Georgia helping to care for the fatherless. One such organization is the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home. Recently, The Adoption Law Firm Founder, Sam McLure, and I had the opportunity to visit their beautiful Palmetto facility and talk with Home CEO, Dr. James Harper.
Dr. Harper and his staff are doing a fantastic job of taking care of hundreds of children from all across the state of Georgia. Not only does the home provide housing for troubled youth, orphans and victims of human trafficking, it also provides hands on training by way of job training and other skills.
Perhaps most importantly, Dr. Harper and the Georgia Baptist Children’s Home believe that while physical well being of a child is important, that child’s spiritual well being is the most important. Founded by a group of concerned Baptist women over a hundred years ago the home has grown to include three facilities aimed at being the hands and feet of Christ in the state of Georgia by caring for the orphan.
Visit the Georgia Baptist Home webpage to see a video introducing their organization.
