While reading Going to Ukraine, you can follow this rather normal family doing something rather abnormal. A year ago the Perry family hosted a 15 year old orphan from Ukraine. Today they are mere days away (we hope) from bringing home their new 16 year old daughter.
What compelled this rather normal looking family to do such a peculiar thing? It wasn’t because their lives lacked excitement. They already have six children: the oldest in her late twenties and the youngest just shy of the teens. I encouraged to grab a cup of coffee, read the blog, and enjoy the ride … then stayed tuned in as we see (God willing) the Perry family traverse through their final days in Ukraine.
