This was an emotional one, Folks. Our happy family officially welcomed their new daughter into her “forever family” this week. At nine years old, this young lady is no longer an orphan.
How much did it cost our family to adopt their new daughter? Monetarily … nothing … really. Adoption out of foster care is usually free. What about in all the other areas … emotionally, life sacrifice, interruption of convenience, college fund? I suspect this family might answer something like this: “we do not lose heart … this light momentary affliction is preparing for us an eternal weight of glory beyond all comparison, as we look not to things that are seen but to the things that are unseen.” – Paul of Tarsus.
