One Thousand Two Hundred and Forty-Three Days… and Worth the Wait

May 5, 2025 //  by Sam McLure

On a beautiful Monday morning in April,  a little boy became the legal family of the parents who have been loving and protecting him for years.
We truly look up to our clients.
They demonstrate sacrificial love in a way that is patient, tenacious, remarkable.
The week before the final hearing, Meghan shared her thoughts about the upcoming adoption of her son, and we are pleased to share them with you…
“26. The number of foster children who have shared our home since 2019. Some stayed for mere hours, while others for years. We have seen children traumatized by those who are supposed to love them, and we have seen children betrayed by a system tasked with protecting them. Many times we have cried tears of sadness and frustration, but today we cry tears of joy as we celebrate overcoming the last big hurdle before making legal what has always been. For the last 1,146 days he has shared our home, but soon he will forever share our name. In the coming weeks we look forward to sharing this beautiful boy’s face as we legally become a forever family! 💙”
Congratulations to this dear family!
