We have seen children traumatized by those who are supposed to love them, and we have seen children betrayed by a system tasked with protecting them. Many times we have cried tears of sadness and frustration, but today we cry tears of joy as we celebrate overcoming the last big hurdle before making legal what has always been. For the last 1,146 days he has shared our home, but soon he will forever share our name. In the coming weeks we look forward to sharing this beautiful boy’s face as we legally become a forever family!
