“Shane and I are so excited to announce that Elijah Maddox Andrew Latham and Daniel Maccabee Andrew Latham are officially our forever sons! For these children we all have prayed! God is the God of family. He sets us each into family! God heard the cry of our hearts for children and God heard the cry of the boys Birth Mom’s heart for a 2 parent Christian home w a dog like Ranger. God loves to hear specificity and details when we pray! God is faithful! Shane and I believe Adoption is the perfect representation of the Gospel. God adopts us into his family when we believe and put our faith in Jesus and in Sacrificial Loving act on the cross and in His resurrection. Today we are thankful for our journey…all the ups and downs! All the tears and scams and trials we walked through to get here… it was all worth it to be given the gift of becoming a mommy and daddy to Daniel and Elijah!
We ask that as you celebrate with us that you also send up prayers for the mommy who carried them and loved them every day since she held them in her womb! She protected them bravely and fought for a safe place for them throughout her pregnancy and she cared for them and poured out love on them their first few days of life! We pray for her that she knows God sees her and knows her and calls her his own. We pray God heals her and comforts her in her grief. If she could have parented them she would have! She loves them so so much! We truly thank her for the gift of this opportunity to become Daniel and Elijah’s mommy and daddy!”
