From Adoptions to Administrative Law, Greg Locklier Has You Covered

My name is Greg Locklier, and I am a new full-time attorney here at The Adoption Law Firm.

This is actually something of a new beginning for me vocationally.

After retiring as a long-time Assistant Attorney General working for three different agencies in state government, I’ve spent most of the past two years working as a part-time assistant district attorney prosecuting criminals who commit all kinds of felony offenses. I loved serving the public as an assistant district attorney and the people I worked with.

Several months ago, while I was still working as an Assistant DA, I began working part-time with TALF. It’s been a blessing to help families navigate the legal process of adoptions.  Witnessing a child in need be legally joined with a loving family at a final adoption hearing may be the most gratifying thing I’ve ever done as an attorney.  The experience has been so rewarding that I’m now with The Adoption Law Firm full-time. I look forward to working with families who are seeking to serve children in need of a family to protect and love them.

In additional to adoption and family law work, I’m offering legal service in the areas of governmental relations and administrative law, areas of experience developed as a governmental attorney.  Governmental relations include a wide range of issues pertaining to the legislature and State Government including assistance with legislation, policy, purchasing, and contracting.  Administrative law includes issues related to government oversight and regulation of all kinds of actions, activities, trades, and professions. The State government oversees actions and activities from hunting and fishing to the pardon and/or parole of incarcerated individuals. Government agencies issue licenses and regulations for medical professionals, plumbers, land surveyors, cosmetologists, contractors, and the list goes on and on.  The scope of governmental oversight over so many areas of life is, as most of you know, quite broad.
