Foster Parent Adoption & Legal Support

Foster parent adoption

Foster Parent Representation

Thousands of American children languish in foster care for years. Most of these children have been abused and abandoned by their natural parents and desperately need an advocate. We specialize in helping foster parents advocate for children trapped in the foster care system and denied a permanent family of their own, who will love and protect them.

Under Alabama law, foster children have a right to permanency in 12 months, either by reunification with their rehabilitated birth family, a birth family placement, or by termination of parental rights and adoption. For one reason or another, these children are often not granted their rights under the law. In foster care cases, all the parties involved are granted a court-appointed attorney– except for the foster parents. If you are a foster parent concerned that your foster child’s case is not moving along as it should, we can help.

The Heart Gallery

There are currently several hundred children in Alabama awaiting an adoptive home.

These children have come into foster care as a result of abuse and neglect by their biological families. In some instances the abuse is so severe, and the parents are unwilling or unable to use available resources to heal their families, that the state severs the legal relationship between the parent and the child. These Alabama children are orphans and need a family.

If you would like more information about adopting a waiting child from Alabama foster care, please give us a call.
