Wow, what a weekend!
The Adoption Law Firm got to participate in Together for Adoption’s National Conference in Atlanta. Following the leadership of T4G board member, Trey Ingram, we presented a breakout session on the topic of when an internationally adopted child becomes a U.S. citizen.
In addition to the dozens of rich talks by speakers such as Tony Carter, Leonce Crump II, and Noel Piper, we had an amazing time connecting with outstanding orphan care and adoption ministries.
Here are a few ministries that we thought you should know about:
LeAnne Craig with America World Adoption.
We had the chance to re-connect with LeAnne over the weekend. She is breaking ground in the Atlanta region by pioneering AWA’s Georgia branch. She is experienced, kind, and engaging. Here’s what her intro says on their website:
I am excited to introduce myself to you as the Director of Social Services for America World-GA. I have worked in the field of adoption since 1986 and have a bachelor’s degree in Human Services and a Master’s Degree in Social Work. Adoption has long been a passion of mine both professionally and personally. I started in the field of adoption while I was working on my Masters Degree in Social Work at the University of Texas in Arlington. I’ve worked in several states including Indiana, Texas, Arizona and now Georgia and have served as the Director of several adoption agencies throughout my career. My experience over the last 25 years has included working with adoptive parents, birthparents, and children along with presenting seminars about adoption to a variety of audiences. On a personal level, my husband and I experienced adoption as a way of building our family back in 1995 and again in 1998 with the adoptions of our son, Joshua and our daughter, Taylor. Thank you for visiting our state page and don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
