Happy Adoption Day to one of our favorite families!
The Probate Courts of Alabama have original jurisdiction over adoptions. Every county has a Probate Judge, and for historical reasons, probate judges do not have to be attorneys. Probate Courts have been entrusted with the sacred duty and honor to care for the at-risk and vulnerable children in our communities through adoption.
